Fireworks
We want everyone to enjoy a fun, spooky and safe Halloween, and, in principle, do not consider celebrating Halloween to be anti-social behaviour.
However, irresponsible use of fireworks is considered anti-social behaviour, and in some cases may be a matter for police.
It is illegal to possess, purchase, sell, handle or use fireworks except under licence.
It is an offence to throw fireworks in the street or other public places.
Only buy fireworks from a licenced retailer.
If you have information about the sale of illegal fireworks you can contact the PSNI on 101 or report online at: https://www.psni.police.uk/report
Fireworks offences can carry a maximum fine of £5,000 or a three-month prison sentence, or both.
