Breaking down the numbers:
There are over 35,000 autistic people in NI
Only 22% of autistic adults are in employment
82% of autistic children have a special educational need
70% of autistic people have mental health difficulties
1 in 4 autistic children speak few or no words
By working alongside Autism NI, we hope to break down barriers, raise awareness, and create a community where every autistic person can achieve their full potential.
Radius Housing’s staff played an important role in the selection of the new charity partner and were invited to nominate local charities that provide essential services or support to people across Northern Ireland, with Autism NI being chosen from a shortlist after much internal deliberation.
