Helping you maintain and enjoy greater independence

This service has been developed by Radius for people who are aged 55 and older, who wish to continue living independently in their own homes.

As well as helping older people maintain their independence, the Floating Support team combat loneliness among the older members of our community through active inclusion in social activities and events.

The service is delivered free of charge to anyone who, after an initial assessment, is eligible under the access criteria.

How our Floating Support benefits you

Our Floating Support is specifically designed to provide access to the range of services identified to help your or the person you love, maintain and enjoy greater independence while remaining part of the community:

Daily contact via phone with regular home visits

A friendly voice at the end of the line or someone to pop in for a chat

A range of Housing Support Services

A tailored support plan to identify your needs and get appropriate support.

Inclusion in social activities and local events

Including lunch clubs, coffee mornings, excursions, entertainment and more.

I really appreciate my morning calls and enjoy the chat. It’s good to know that someone is checking in with you every day.
