Since announcing their partnership with Air Ambulance NI (AANI) at the start of this year, Radius has aimed high to raise much needed funds for their Corporate Charity with an abseil of 100 feet.
Whether you’ve tried abseiling before or are a complete beginner, it is a perfect opportunity to reach new heights and face your fears. That’s exactly what Radius staff members, Derek Dixon, Paul Wightman, John Cairnduff, and Irena Seidlova did, as they took to the sky on Sunday 13th March to abseil from Belfast Castle. Hosted by Bryson Lagansports, the event featured participants from companies including PRM Group Ltd and the Harley Davidson Club, all in support of AANI.
With weather warnings in place, it was a wet and windy morning up at Cavehill. The normal scenic views across Belfast were hidden in the cold air when theRadius’ four novices were pushed to their limits to soar the sky for a worthy cause. With some encouragement, the team successfully abseiled the 100ft drop down to the Castle gardens and together raising over a whopping, £2.3K for Air Ambulance NI.
Well done to the ‘Radius Abseilers’ who are now safely back
on solid ground with their completion certificates.
